ESPN: Video: Baseball Tonight: Orioles Manager Buck Showalter on The 2013 Orioles

The Orioles are not only competitive and winners but now they are legitimate contenders who not just Oriole fans will be expecting a lot from. But perhaps even the national media alone and the Orioles really just have two questions as far as their season goes. Jake Arrietta, will he bounce back and finally develop in the ace caliber pitcher he has the potential to be. If that happens the Orioles will go from having a good pitching staff to one of the best pitching. Staffs in MLB with three ace caliber starting pitchers in Jason Hammel, Chris Tilman and Jake Arrietta. The other question being Brian Roberts, does he stay healthy for the entire season or at least most. Of it and is he back to where he was in 2009 as one of the best leadoff hitters in MLB. If that happens the Orioles go from having a very good lineup to one of the best lineups in the. American League with B Rob consistently getting on followed by Nick Markakis, Adam Jones, Chris Davis and. Company so thats the really the only two questions I have for the 2013 Orioles.

If both Jake Arrietta and Brian Roberts bounce back in the 2013 and the Orioles stay healthy for the most part. Look for them to win the AL East with the New York Yankees taking a step back and Boston Red Sox not back yet as a contender. And perhaps a two team race between the Orioles and Tampa Rays in the AL East.
